Introduction

Shooting and crimes sadly shape the minds of those who are weary of going out at certain times of the day as well as traumatizing for others that have first-hand experienced such. 

Brief 

As of today, https://www.cbsnews.com/news/las-vegas-police-active-shooter-unlv/ reported that  a deadly incident was caused by a firearm on the campus of the University of Nevada. The armed individual was unfortunately shot by police officials to stop the chaos and proceed with the safe environment that the campus normally has. 

 

Crazily enough the suspect has a background in collegiate teaching through the accredited institutions in Georgia and North Carolina, so the sixty year old male, has prior knowledge towards the effects and causes of campus crime. Not to mention, having this background makes the incident more of an issue of premeditated causes as he may have used commonalities from his previous worked colleges to his advantage. 

Conclusion 

Ultimately, three students were killed as well as one severely wounded. To add, it was later revealed that Anthony Polito – the gunman, may have retaliated at the  

University of Nevada instead of actual students due to the school's denial of his application to further his teaching career there.  

 

Note: It is a sad occurrence, not only for the students and parents that have to endure this trauma, but also for educator as he lost his life due to a lost opportunity that he had no control over.
